12 Days of HOPE 4 Youth: Day 12
On the twelfth day of Christmas, Christen found that HOPE 4 Youth is always a safe and welcoming place. Christen came to HOPE 4 Youth seeking assistance in securing housing, accessing food, and finding other resources and services available to her. HOPE 4 Youth was able to help Christen find housing though our Housing Navigation Program. Our volunteer Housing Heroes team helped Christen move in and make her apartment a home with all the furniture and basic household items she needed. Christen has been employed for over a year now and loves that she has found a job that allows her to work with children. Christen continues to work with HOPE 4 Youth’s Case Managers to find resources in the community that help her with services she wasn’t aware she could utilize, such as counseling to help her deal with childhood trauma. Christen appreciates how she is able to live in her own housing and continue to come to the Drop-In Center when she needs assistance with food, clothing, laundry and Case Management. “HOPE 4 Youth is my safe place. They always welcome me,” she says.
Please consider making a gift in honor of Christen, so that we can continue to provide our programs to change the lives of even more homeless young people. You can make a gift online at www.HOPE4YouthMN.org/Donate or via mail to HOPE 4 Youth, 2191 Northdale Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Any amount and all gifts are needed and appreciated. Thank you!
