I meditate on You in the night watches
Because You have been my help.
Therefore, in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
My soul follows close behind You;
Your right hand upholds me. Ps. 63:6-8
I slide underneath the blankets
And turn out the light
Another day has passed
Ushered away by the night
I will think of You Lord
And how good You’ve been
In Your grace and faithfulness
You’ve blessed me again
You have been my help
Throughout another day
I have such peace in knowing
That You’ll never go away
You uphold me when I stumble
And forgive me when I do
It’s no mystery or puzzle
That my heart belongs to You
I meditate on Your forever love
And my soul rejoices and sings
As I lay me down to sleep
Underneath Your mighty wings
