Meet LaChelle Williams, HOPE 4 Youth’s New Executive Director
HOPE 4 Youth is excited to welcome LaChelle Williams as our new executive director. LaChelle is an experienced, non-profit executive that brings inspiration and forward thinking to enhance and amplify our mission. She’s led a YMCA branch, owned and operated her own advertising and coaching companies, and most recently was the chief operating officer at Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest. She has extensive experience in strategic visioning, organizational leadership, transformational partnerships, and developing high preforming teams.
“The Board of Directors is excited to welcome LaChelle as HOPE 4 Youth’s new executive director,” said Stephen Spears, board chair. “LaChelle brings an exceptional combination of energy, passion, and proven leadership. Her commitment and passion will build upon our current successes and lead HOPE 4 Youth to the next level of growth and development. Both the board and staff are impressed with her extensive knowledge and experience. She will not only continue to develop our life-changing programs, but will also work with partners, donors and the community to create even more pathways to end youth homelessness.”
LaChelle is often described as an enthusiastic leader who helps others see what is possible. As an enthusiastic, mission-driven spokesperson, LaChelle thrives on establishing strong partnerships across diverse stakeholders. She is known for creating healthy workplace environments modeling innovation, compassion, and courage while fostering collaboration and inclusion to successfully fulfill goals and objectives.
“It is an honor to come alongside the team and board to advocate for youth experiencing homelessness in our community,” said LaChelle. “The pandemic exacerbates the realities of homelessness; I look forward to working with the team and community to elevate the mission and strengthen the great work already in place. Together, we will make a difference!”
Outside of work, LaChelle lives with her husband Bob in Hugo and finds her greatest joy spending time with their five sons, daughters-in-law, and three new grandbabies. LaChelle is a lover of nature and can often be found lost in her love of writing. She is passionate about mentoring people as a strengths coach and workshop facilitator. LaChelle graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Organizational Leadership, and a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Management.
