Countdown to 2020 … Picture Yourself Without a Home – Living Outside
Take a moment to look out your window. Now picture yourself without a home and having to live – to sleep – outside. Can you imagine it? Yet every day, 6,000 youth are living without a home. Tonight 6,000 youth will sleep out in the cold. These are their stories:
I’ve slept on the streets.
At night it gets really cold.
Even on the warm nights it’s somehow cold.
It was hard falling asleep every night just want to give up.
I cry a lot, almost every single day.
Home isn’t even a word when you’re on the streets.
I didn’t choose to be.
I’m tired … and this has proven to be harder than I thought.
But I can move forward with HOPE 4 Youth.
